The Internet Government Forum is an annual multistakeholder platform for discussion and alignment about the future of internet. In addition to issues like sustainability, safety, stability and development of the internet, such a conference is also important to decide on how to tackle new threats and risks as well as to identify challenges and more controversial elements of internet governance.

On thursday October 1st, the annual Dutch Internet Governance Forum (NL IGF) takes place in the Conference Center 7AM in The Hague. This is the preparatory meeting for the IGF, the global multi-stakeholder consultation under the banner of the United Nations, where important issues about internet governance are discussed.
