Starters4communities is a young social enterprise developed to help starters increase their chances on the labour market and get a taste of entrepreneurship and working in the social sector and to bring skills and expertise to disadvantaged neighbourhoods and support communities to establish or strengthen local initiatives in a financially sustainable manner.
Starters4Communities does this ‘by offering starters a work-experience programme in community development and social entrepreneurship. During 3 months starters help local communities realise their dreams. During the first month we work on strengthening the social cohesion in the community, look for talents and passions and explore what those dreams may look like. During the second and third month the starters and people from the neighbourhood follow workshops and apply the newly learned knowledge to develop or strengthen their projects.’
The next programme in The Hague starts on September 14 2017. To experience whether the S4C program suits you, S4C organizes three orientation nights in which they will explain you everything about the programs in The Hague and where you can ’taste the vibe’.
