On 26 November, the International Committee of YoungTheHague organises a tour at the OPCW, the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. The OPCW is the implementing body of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC), which entered into force in 1997. Currently, the OPCW has 190 Members States, who are working together to achieve a world free of chemical weapons.
You are offered the opportunity to explore this world-renowned organisation. Visit its headquarters in The Hague and learn more about its activities and history. You may even catch a glimpse of the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize, which was awarded to the OPCW for its extensive efforts to eliminate chemical weapons.
After the tour, the tour will go to the Bel Air Hotel (near the OPCW) where the tour offers you the first drink and hopes you will stay for a couple more! The tour will be conducted in English.
